This week’s annual “Bundy for Breakfast” economic development showcase, saw a record crowd of almost 200 local business people and stakeholders turn out to learn of a much improved economic report card for the region.

Opened by Mayor Jack Dempsey, with a clear vote of confidence in the region’s capabilities, growth potential and business acumen, the audience got to hear informative presentations included Colin Graham of Causeway Innovation, speaking of the startupBundaberg program and the innovative business concepts it seeks to inspire.

Ex-HMAS Tobruk to be Scuttled East of Bundaberg

Ex-HMAS Tobruk will continue to serve Australia—now as a tourist destination—when it is scuttled off the coast between Bundaberg and Hervey Bay as a dive wreck.

Minister for Defence Personnel the Hon Dan Tehan MP today announced the Royal Australian Navy’s former Landing Ship, HMAS Tobruk (II) will be provided to the Queensland Government to be scuttled in the Wide Bay area east of Bundaberg and north of Hervey Bay.
